I was diagnosed with PCOS almost a year ago and Iām trying to treat myself naturally and avoid birth control. I did a lot of research and now Iām taking Crinone capsules which contains progesterone and try to eat Vitamin B-6 and zinc containing foods which are claimed to help the body increase progesterone production. I eat a lot of chickpeas, tuna, spinach, bananas, cashew, almonds and shellfish. Iām still trying and not sure how helpful will it be just felt like sharingš
I had a hormonal iud but then it was creating large actual cysts, not just the ones you get with pcos and it was making my acne worse and my anxiety/depression.
Progesterone is a hormone that your body produces naturally. If it's not producing as much as it should be, you need hormone medication (birth control). An IUD is a very good option for AFAB (assigned female at birth) that have PCOS. š
