TW :: mention of food ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ my meds are doing what they're supposed to - stabilize my mood, calm my ADHD brain, and curb my food cravings. They are all working ... but the latter might be working a bit too well. I haven't eaten an actual meal for two days, and have only been having coffee, water, monster, and small bites of something twice a day maximum. Just a bit ago, my sister asked me if i put on makeup because she said "your face looks pale but your cheeks look red" and i had no idea i actually looked that way.. Idek how to do makeup, lol. im just... not hungry? it just doesnt sound appealing, and i dont feel hungry once i have enough water. i think this is bad but it's helping me lose weight so I'm really not that upset about it.. these meds helped me lose 25 pounds in 4 months, so I really don't want to stop the meds.

Caffeine can make you feel full as well. I suggest slowly cutting back on the caffeine. Eat healthy food in small amounts at meal time even if you aren't hungry. I worry that not eating will crash your metabolism.

It's important to prioritize your health and ensure you're getting proper nutrition, even if your medication is curbing your appetite. Try setting a routine to eat at regular mealtimes, even if you don't feel hungry. You can also consider consuming smaller meals or nutrient-dense snacks throughout the day. It's crucial to discuss this issue with your doctor, as they may be able to adjust your medication or provide additional guidance on maintaining a healthy diet while on your current medication.
