I'm blessed with a partner who has taken the time to study bpd and understand it. So it helps a ton in them understanding if the outburst was me or my bpd

I have found over the years that it requires someone who is very patient and willing to work with you. It’s never going to be easy, and yes one of the main problems with BPD is trouble with stable relationships. We just have to work harder than most but it’s always worth it! ❤️ P.S The right people will always stay and do the work with you! Feel free to message xo

This is a big concern of mine too at the moment . My girlfriend and I are both BPD and she was just recently diagnosed. Sometimes it feels like a tornado and a volcano collide when we fight . she is very very prone to depression and i can kinda see the positive side a little more then her . i don’t know if it’s come with time or that i’ve had to force myself but i’m 5 years older than she is .

Communication and me taking accountability for my behavior has really helped. My partner is incredibly understanding and hard to shake but living with a person who has bpd is almost as mentally exhausting as having it. I have to actively try to be considerate of that and spend a lot of energy controlling myself. Overtime it gets easier to do and it becomes a part of your healing process. Theres always setbacks but you get up faster each time and with a little more knowledge about yourself.
