Why is it a sometimes a bad idea to take Caffeine after taking Sertraline (Zoloft)?

I would think because caffeine makes you jittery, and hyper. It gets you going. Sertraline makes you calm down and relaxes you, relaxes your jitteriness and it could cause it to be worse.

@Mimikitty I agree. I was chewing on some Military Strength energy gum (which contains an abundance of caffeine) while I was on Sertraline and I felt lightheaded, extremely confused, anxious and forgetful. I have since regretted chewing that gum and have since swore myself to not use it while I am taking Sertraline. Sertraline has done wonders for me. ❤️
