Has anyone else experienced a decline in reading ability with the onset or worsening of your Schizoaffective Disorder?

I can't read anymore. I so much as look at a book and I'm overwhelmed.

I used to be a total bookworm, I'd be at the library every few days getting more books, now I really struggle to read anything so yeah, me too.

Yes. I find stress makes my disorder worse, so if I'm stressed, I don't even try to read or comprehend. Heh.

Illness can affect cognition. After an episode, I sometimes have trouble with reading comprehension. Thank god it’s coming back; it’s also partly mental.

For me, it's not so much reading ability but...the ability to retain or focus on what I'm reading.
