Hi. I'd love to get to know how you cope with working and chronic pain, if you work.

@remedy330 I did a ton of tracking, I tracked what I ate, drank, weather, activity, stress, menstrual cycles, literally everything, until I saw patterns and adjusted. I figured out I had a gluten intolerance and issues with nightshades. I found that heat works better than ice. I figured out that for me chiropractors are a life saver. And I figured that all out from tracking. It's a pain to keep up with but it helped in the long run.

I started a new job about 3 weeks ago, it is still kicking my butt. It's very physically demanding so lots of anti inflammatory meds and lots of rest in between work helps me.

I have done so much physical therapy, and it helps so much. I take a few things to manage some of the extra stuff that goes with fibromyalgia. I take stuff to control muscle spasms and to help me sleep. I have also found that learning about how trauma effects the body also helps. I just recently started working full time again and it's an adjustment.

Iā€™m a teacher. I have 3 kids at home and one in college. I donā€™t take medication. I manage my symptoms with diet and exercise. When my neurologist first suggested fibro, I couldnā€™t find a rheumatologist who would see me. I found a pain clinic who had a fibromyalgia program. I did physical therapy and cognitive pain management therapy.
