How to make friends without going to bars?

I am wondering the same thing! I have pretty much lost contact with all of my friends, we all just went separate ways in life and it's so hard to make new friends at this stage in life!

I get it, totally. This world is so different now. We all have these devices creating our "safe place" and it's easier to stay in our space than step outside. I struggle with making any commitments with others. I have one friend I meet with each Saturday for breakfast. I'm married and we have a few friends and family we do things with once in awhile. It's easier and safer to stay in our own bubble. I love art and games, too, I play all the time. I also garden and I'm a handy man, so I get a LOT of satisfaction from all of that. You may need to decide to change something even if it makes you uncomfortable for a little bit. If we never do anything different then nothing will change. It's scary but it's worth it!
