What are some things you tell yourself to workout? I'm the heaviest I've ever been and use my pain as an excuse to not work out. I know it's just making it work. I know I need to move more. What makes you get up and go?

I finally got a doctor to listen to me about my thyroid levels being too low for my standards. They also suggested Victoza injections to alleviate swelling in the gut from years of allergies. I have to stay very hydrated with water and non caffeinated drinks mostly, but my energy levels went up and I'm feeling more like my old self. I highly recommend talking to your doctor about those. If you're gaining a lot of weight under your chin and in your neck, that is a sign of under active thyroid. Another suggestion is getting a dog you have to walk and do more things for. I enjoy having a fetch dog, for less walking and doing calisthenic exercises more to keep muscle tone. Then it's just watching my diet closely. More allergens sneaking into my diet, more swelling and weight gain. I also recommend seeing an allergist. If you treat for the slightest allergy, it will cause the swelling and thyroid distress.
