is it even worth pursuing a diagnosis for anorexia. like they only help when it's way too late. if you're not incredibly underweight they won't do anything.

      If receiving a diagnosis allows you to use insurance to pay for therapy, then yes, I would. But if you can go to therapy without the diagnosis, then I don’t think it matters. It’s the treatment that matters. Regardless of how close to death you are, a ~good~ therapist should help you address and overcome anxiety, depression, negative thinking, and self-esteem problems that often result in anorexia as a form of control over oneself
