When you find something that makes you anxious, do you embrace it or avoid it?

For me, anxiety is a huge catastrophe. If something gives me anxiety I avoid it at all costs. If I don’t, I will have several anxiety attacks so I try to make sure to steer clear!

It depends. If I don’t know why or what is causing it I will think about it and find where the feeling came from while taking deep breaths to calm my body. If I know or too busy to bother with the thought ill just practice deep breathing and think about it later or never again for that day. Wby?

i always used to avoid & push it away. but as i’ve gotten older, i’ve started noticing the same patterns. the more that i keep avoiding it, the bigger the problem will be for me. i always try to tell myself, “the quicker you get it done, the quicker it will be over”. it’s hard to push out of our comfort zones, but the more you try to hide from something, the more uncomfortable it will become. you are strong and i believe that you can overcome anything you set your mind to!

i tend to try and push it away. kind of running away from the situation that’s causing it. i stress a lot and that stress and overthinking makes taking situations head on alone a lot more difficult for me.

Both? I usually avoid it initially to make a strategy on how I can either locate someone who can do what I'm anxious about or slowly push myself to just go for it. It's a constant tug of war and in most cases the fastest "solution" or method wins.
