I feel like I did something good. I took my pain and hurt and (finally) turned to positive coping tools and solutions to my problems. I feel like a new person. Insomnia giving me a bad schedule? Boom, read before bed. Feeling shitty overall? Boom, work out in the mornings. it also helps the insomnia. I'm getting good sleep, I don't feel bad about my weight/body because I'm actively doing something and I'm feeling confident in myself for the first time in my life. I really never knew I could do these things and not feel drained. I would try to conserve my energy for the day but now I have energy to do things I love. I actually leave the house and am in a generally better mood. I thought gym people were bullshitting me with their 5 am schedule youtube videos but I actually feel better after fixing my sleep schedule, reading before bed, minimizing my screen time and exercising. Now that I wake up earlier I'm more productive and do the things I want to do. I get to go places because I have time to plan and get ready. I have the energy from falling asleep faster and going to bed earlier. The only thing I haven't changed is my diet but that's due to finances. If I could I would, I'd probably feel even better. My favorite part of the year is here and I'm all excited for what's to come. I just worry I'll have a depressive episode and it will mess this up. I'll try to continue even if I don't want to.

Well done!! I’m so glad to hear that you’ve found some healthy coping mechanisms that work for you. Even if an episode does disrupt this schedule there’s always time to get back on your feet. It may be disappointing, but recovery is not a straight line for most people. Best of luck!
