I’ve learned to adjust my jaw back in place but I’ve been super mindful of eating things in smaller pieces so my jaw doesn’t get stuck…. They saw warm compress can help as well as facial yoga & deep fishing gua sha

Aww bless you, your dentist should state that in his referral notes to the tmj specialist, I hope you get this sorted soon ❤️

@Leolioness thanks, I'm going to ask in Feb because I've noticed when its cold out my tmj is worse, I'm not sure what the weather would have to do with it.

That will be the best thing to do. You have to try the mouth guard first otherwise the hospital won’t accept your dentists referral to be seen by a tmj specialist. ❤️

@Leolioness they won't let me because of my possibility of having a seizure

My dentist initially gave me a mouth guard to try out for 3 months and then referred me to the maxofacial unit at the hospital to be seen by a tmj specialist.

@Leolioness OK, I go back to my dentist in February so I might see if there's anything else they can do.

No I haven’t got to the treatment stage yet but I was seen by a tmj specialist who conducted X-rays and mri scan. The mri scan showed both my discs are severely damaged and out of place. My consultant has now referred me to a senior specialist

@Leolioness OK, the only thing I was told by my dentist which they don't want because of possible seizures at night is some mouth guard, I've never heard of having an MRI/ x rays for your mouth I need them for other health things.
