Hi I am new to this form I recently found I don’t know if this is something anyone else deals with fibromyalgia but I’ve been having more pain especially in my feet it gets so bad I can’t put pressure on them or even walk I feel like this illness is debilitating my life The pain mostly is my legs and it goes all the way down to my toes I feel like it’s taking over and it’s so hard to even work let alone get out of bed most days

      @Gabrielle_Elizabeth same for me mornings are really bad nights can be pretty rough too mine is pretty bad in my back as well sometimes I lay in bed trying to get the pain to calm down but a heating pad only does so much the doctor says to alternate icing and heating put an ice pack just makes the pain feel worse to me I think one of the hardest part of this illness is people look at you like you’re crazy like you’re making it all up even some doctors don’t believe in fibromyalgia I can get frustrating at times

      My feet used to hurt like that. When the diagnosed my RA and started treating it the pain in my feet got better. I can hardly believe all the money I spent on trying to find shoes that wouldn't make my feet hurt and they didn't help!

        @BJSTREEHOUSE I know the feeling the only thing that has helped is these Nike sandals that I have found at famous footwear they are very cushiony and don’t hurt my feet like other shoes

      Along with fibromyalgia , I have Planter Fascitis it can be killer especially at night, weight gain can be tough on the feet. Research and see if this might be your cause /symptoms

      Gabapentin helps greatly with my leg and feet pain.

      I was the same as you. Then my Dr prescribed Lyrica. It was a life saver. There is a generic for it, and also the company has a coupon for it. Might be something to check into. PS. I do have some flare ups where my feet hurt and burn but nothing like before I started.

        @HappilyRetired I didn't gain any weight with Lyrica. 🤗

      I feel like the pain is all over but it’s seems to be worse in particular areas sometimes. It will stay in my shoulder for a while then mover to my arm and so on. I’ve had it be in my knee then have my feet be so painful I can barely walk. The pain will sometimes last for a week to a month.

        @2birds1bush I feel like that too it’s worse in one area than the other overall but do you have pain in quite a few different areas I have some in my neck my arms and legs feet is really bad back is horrible also got RA so that doesn’t help matters

      My pain is in my back is debilitating. Hurts so bad. I just stop what. My Dr have put me on gabapentin 300 twice a day..Does anyone take something different??

        @MiamiPR305 i’m so sorry I know it hurts so bad the only alternative to gabapentin that I have tried is Lyrica which has some good and bad to it for me it made me gain weight so I did not like that effect I take gabapentin because the doctors refused to give pain medication for fibromyalgia because of my other condition I have which is bipolar which sucks so I have to suffer that things that don’t really help you can ask your doctor about this I know some people say it helps more than gabapentin but is similar to the medication

      I know exactly how you feel. I go through the same pain. My pain starts in my lower back, goes down my leg and down to my foot. The more I walk or stand the worse it gets. And the mornings are the worse.

          @BeautyWithin I find that heat works better than ice packs. yes, that’s the absolute worst part is peoples judgment of us. They think that just because we look okay on the outside that we okay on the inside.
