Dealing with Dad's Cancer Diagnosis

I'm sorry your dad has the big C. I know first hand how hard it is to have a parent with cancer. It is hard to know they are ill, and to see them go through the treatment process. Many times, with the process, things get worse before they get better. It definitely affected my mental health. It is one of those things that we can't control, that sucks, and that we have to come to terms with before it consumes us. My biggest advice is to say that asking for what you need and creating boundaries isn't selfish, no matter what your thoughts may say. You deserve care just like your dad does because it affects the whole family system. Best of luck to you and your family.
