I have endometriosis and am debating if I should start Orilissa or not. Has anyone had any experience with this medication?

@amissundastood no you're not - I'm on it and it's really helped me. The worst part for me was the transition onto it. But once the body got used to it, the side effects were barely noticeable

I also wouldn’t recommend it! Made my pain worse and hot flashes were bad, plus going into menopause too young is never good! It’s a band aid at best, and while I’m happy for people it helps, it’s really only worth trying if having an expert excision isn’t an option. In that case, try it out for a couple weeks and see if you get any improvement! Thankfully it’s reversible, unlike the shot!

      Have you tried Mefanamic acid?

Yes, I tried this and it just made my life five times worse the side effects from it were horrible… my vitamin D, and calcium levels were dangerously low, and my joints were hurting to the point that I had almost no mobility or ability to walk at all….it also worsened a lot of my mental health problems….. and made my hair fall out… I’ve heard some stories of it working for other people but unfortunately, my experience wasn’t great with it 😔

I’ve tired Orilissa and I would not recommend it either. I had horrible side effects.

Yes I’ve tried it, no I would not recommend it. It is a band aid and does not treat endo and in some cases increases symptoms. If your provider is pushing this type of med before any excision surgery then I would run far far away from them
