What's your favorite alternative to coffee? I need some caffeine every now and then, but coffee is a big trigger to my panic attacks.

Green, black and white teas have a lot of caffeine in them. Im from the south, so I LOVE southern sweet tea, but there are lots of other ways to style and drink tea. Just make sure you don't over brew and it wont be bitter. 💕

Yerba mate, it gives you a slow boost, instead of coffee that gives you a fast boost.

This is a great post, chugging coffee first thing in the morning definitely doesn't help with my anxiety and cortisol levels. I love green tea, that sounds like a great replacement.

coffee is generally a trigger for my anxiety. I can tolerate it if I am exhausted without anxiety side effects, thankfully. That said I generally stay with Matcha (the green tea powder). It's green tea that's grown in the shade. The shade growth vs. sun growth also means boosted levels of L-theanine, which is a calming compound, so it can help counteract the caffeine effect potentially. I also seem to have a better response to green coffees sometimes. It also has lower levels of caffeine.

@welpe yeah I'm the same way with coffee, so I'll have to try the matcha. Thanks 😊

I personally drink honey, like just straight up honey, i can't really have caffeine so it's ether honey or Gatorade
