I have no clue how to initiate getting into therapy. I've always been so afraid of telling both my doctor and my parents about my mental health. Anyone got any tips on how to get the conversation going so I can get help?

been there!! especially when i lived with my parents but needed to go to therapy to address my issues WITH them so kinda hard to bring that up to them lol. it’s also expensive and scary so i get it. i started with better help, but i’d research what online therapy would work best for your needs. it’s still a chunk of change, but nothing compared to in-person therapy. i would maybe try that? that way, you can ease into the therapy scene without it feeling like a big deal. it’s nice to start with the 24/7 app therapy bc you can choose to chat, video call, or phone call.
