Struggling to be a Good Parent

My kids are no longer kids. I can't tell you how many times I failed them. So many people failed them so many times. But... We do the best we can with what we've got. In the end, do they know they're loved? My kids could have been presented with a better setup for their lives as they are, now. I wish I had. I can't say I have no regrets, I do. There's a lot I wish I had done differently. But, I did the best I could with what I had, and though their present and future isn't as great as maybe it could have been, it's up to them now to do what they can with what they've been given. And I... I can't constantly beat myself over the mistakes of my past. I can only try to do better going forward. And the same for you. Just do the best you can and make sure they know they're loved. That's all you can do.
