I’m dealing with a migraine flare up and nothing helps. Usually some combo of ibuprofen, tylenol, propranol, hydroxyzine, and relpax as needed will do it. But relpax only helps for like a day right now and I can’t take it too much. I always get them really bad in winter. Anyone in same boat? What helps? I’ve tried TENS machine, massage, supplements (magnesium and iron), cannabis, topicals, teas … so many things. Would like to avoid going to ER but my blood pressure is getting high.

I was in the ER last night for a complex migraine for 10 hours while they tried everything they could. I’m actually sitting up & functioning today but it’s still here. I think it’s stress & weather. I usually try prayer & meditation.
Thank you all. Over a month now - Migraine still going strong. Seeing my doctor soon and will ask about nurtec and emgality. No historically I’ve not responded to triptans except relpax but it’s not helping right now.

I take magnesium and vitamin b2 supplements and those helped. I'm not sure if it will help you. Also, massages are heavenly especially if you have pain in the neck and shoulders.

Have you tried Nurtec or Emgality?
I’m so sorry ☹️ I’m not sure if this will work but the thing that really helped get my frequency down was taking a muscle relaxer every night before bed. I still get them, but I think I was getting a lot of “extra” migraines because of tension in my neck/shoulders/back that a massage couldn’t fix

You don’t respond to triptans? What about new meds like Nurtec? Botox?
I just ended up having to get on Emgality. I don’t have any migraines until it’s due that month. It’s saved me
I'm so sorry! I feel this! You are not alone!
I also had a month where I was getting migraines daily and it was awful. My neurologist had me take a “migraine cocktail” (doesn’t sound good but it helped) which was migraines meds, magnesium, folate, and a steroid). It helped get my migraines back to their baseline frequency
Have you tried abortive migraine meds such as sumatriptan? That is typically the only med that helps my really bad migraines. My neurologist prescribed it and you can only take it 3 times within a week but it works wonders. I tend to use excedrin migraine if I can’t use sumatriptan.
😥you poor thing!! I just want you to know you aren’t alone!!
