I have to work really easy jobs. I can't be with crazy bosses and really challenging clients. I have to pace myself with who I work with

I used to work at subway. On multiple occasions I hid in the freezer and cried from anxiety and panic

I am on social security disability and my doctor doesn’t want me working because of my anxiety and depression.

I have left a few jobs that I really wanted to try, because they were too stressful and harmful to my mental health. This includes EMT, residential treatment facility, Cabinet for Health and Family Services, and pharmacy. I've just about come to the conclusion that the health field is not for me. I work in the produce department of a grocery store now. It wasnt my ideal but my mental health is much better so its a win. :)

I feel that working with mental health issues can be very difficult. As someone working in food service with social anxiety, people really get under my skin when they are rude. I always get mad at myself for letting the little things get to me, even though my co workers can just shrug it off.

As an introvert with anxiety overstimulation happeneds often and it just makes me snappy and moody and not as happy to do my job or motivated and effects my performance and also my home life because when I get home I shut myself in my room because my social battery is completely depleted

It's been tough, I'm not diagnosed with anything but I swear I have social anxiety and when people come up to talk to me I tend to stutter a lot and really have to search for the words to say, I've ended up just isolating myself from other coworkers when I can. How does it affect you and your job?

@kale_chip It depends on the day. My anxiety makes it hard for me to build relationships with customers, and my bipolar makes it difficult to handle rushes and when people come in 5 mins before close.

@Tokki I completely understand, it can be tough sometimes. Especially with the customers coming in right before closing 🥲
