I’m an over thinker , and it honestly hurts me most times.. I try to control it all and rationalize it all but it dosent seem to work very well.. I keep having trouble being able to tell if my feelings and thoughts r right or if there just over thinking thoughts.

I have this issue too! Sometimes it gets so bad it's damaging to my relationships, and that hurts so bad.

I get it. I over analyze at times myself. It’s always detrimental and what we need to realize is (and if you’re Judeo-Christian you’ll get this.) Always remember that we need to let the Holy Spirit have majorly of the control that way we get good advice from Him and we can let HIM do the analysis.

It's exhausting to put out so much mental energy to simply exist, isn't it? A burden most people won't know. Or care to understand. It's real easy to minimize and dismiss the very draining emotions that come along with your brain. Just like people in your life taught you to do. But that doesn't make them go away. That doesn't take away the weight the emotions carry. It just shames you into believing you're weak and wrong for something you can't always control. If you are ever able to control it. Please be gentle to yourself. Especially in the bad times. Would you say anything you say to yourself, to a good friend who's suffering like you do? Or a child? The whole treat others like you want to be treated shebang most are taught growing up is great n all. But what about treating yourself like you want to be treated?

@JayFloyd yes this is what helps when I find myself tearing me down. I say would you say this to someone else? No. Then don't say it to yourself either you deserve better. Instead of saying I'm a failure and that I'm not good enough, I've been trying to say that I'm trying and I'm doing a good job, even if I didn't accomplish anything. Because I'm not accomplishing anything by telling myself bad things either.

Remember that overthinking and being overdramatic/overreacting are different things, so don't feel like you're being dramatic. You're feelings are valid.
I feel like this a lot. I am super emotional, sensitive and think way 2 much. I'm sorry your having a rough time. You are not alone !
I definitely understand where you’re coming from. I’m like a heavy overthinker like even the smallest details get me worrying. Sometimes what usually helps me with overthinking is that just because we think something is true, does not mean it is. I often try to challenge these thoughts by trying to find actual evidence or facts behind it. I’d rather not lie and force myself to think positively that they’re untrue, and rather seek out actual evidence to disprove against it. Hopefully that helps :) but another thing also helps me overthink is journaling, so maybe that could also be a nice outlet to distinguish between overthinking thoughts or not!
