Question for anyone who has a disability that makes you use a walking aid, wheelchair, scooter, store motorized carts, ect. or even that makes you walk slow. Do you ever feel like you have to apologize for being in the way, even when you're not? It always feels like an expectation for me to apologize for anything I do.

I definitely can feel like this. It’s partly why I don’t go out often. It’s awful and I’m learning how to let myself take up space. Nobody should apologize for existing. People who think you should be apologetic aren’t people you should surround yourself with.
I feel like this all the time, I feel like me being disabled is an inconvenience for people, even when I'm not doing anything to be an inconvenience and just existing, some of it is internalized ableism but some of it is people genuinely thinking I'm an inconvenience and saying so, or acting so

Yep. I especially noticed I was expected to keep track of everyone else and not be in THEIR way, while it was fine for them to miss me and be in my way, or run into me. You don't need to apologise. Other people's ignorance is not your fault. You take up as much space as a person does. You shouldn't be made to apologize for that. Nobody should be made to apologize for existing.
