Hello, Do you think it’s bad to keep adding medications when you have a lot already, but the new ones still help?

It seems weird that in this day and age we're able to help take care of so many things in our body and brain, but it's a blessing! I tell never I was talking to my psychiatrist and I said I wanted to go off meds. She asked me why and said "sometimes people say they don't want a crutch per se. But if your leg is broken, you just need the crutch. It would be unwise to go without one"

I agree that I've definitely found success when combining medicines as well.

Thanks :) sometimes I feel like I complain to my psychiatrist about things that maybe I’m supposed to just deal with. I know all my problems can’t be solved with meds, but so far I’ve found ones that do, haha (of course, some cause new problems… which means more meds !! …)

When a doctor prescribes medication they're making the judgement call that the benefits outweigh the risks. If all of the medications you're taking are helping and not interacting then there's nothing wrong with taking lots
