hey everyone! I'm having a lot of anxiety about my school today. I'm homeschooled, and I'm very behind. also, my mom has told me we're going on two vacations in the next 3 months. I do love vacations, but I always get anxious about being away from home. also, my school ends June 9th, and idk if I'll be passing by then, especially if I'm on vacation before hand. I can never do schoolwork during a vacation, it's too hard for me. any advice?

maybe have a sit down with your mom and explain everything to her? get as much work done as you can so that way you can feel somewhat relieved during the trips and be able to relax. always remember your health comes first and if school is too much pressure, take a day and make the whole day about doing things you enjoy. that could also help you get a little more motivated

Wow, I relate to this so hard. My anxiety, depression (and I didn’t know it at the time, but autism too) made me drop out of high school and take only independent study credits. When graduation for high school was a month away, I was a full YEAR’s worth of work behind. It was a month full of little sleep, poor nutrition, and disassociation. But I graduated on time! All this to say, that I agree your physical needs are important; yet, you are allowed to push those needs aside if you are thoughtful and loving towards yourself. I never am able to work in baby steps, and it frequently causes issues in my life. But, getting through it the hard way is also OKAY. ❤️ no shame. It will work out in your own unique and special way.

It seems like you’re under a lot of pressure to get your work done quickly and properly. Not much I can do for that, but try to remember to be kind to yourself. Take things one day at a time, and just do what you can at any given moment. Make sure your physical needs come first. One thing at a time, baby steps
