What is the best way you found to prevent flares other than medication?

I've found diet to play a HUGE role in reducing my flare ups. For me I followed the AIP diet for a few months and although it was tough initially, it drastically improved all of my symptoms. Since then I've been following a Paleo diet and have since seldom had any major flare ups.

if planning outings or overnights—over plan and have extras of any meds or needed supplies. travel in comfort: neck pillows, seat cushions, whatever helps relax. everyday life: break up tasks with adequate rest in between, hydration, avoid over abundance of sugar (that equals inflammation), sunscreen if outside but avoid sun when possible (car tinted windows have really helped me), do hobbies, talk to support system. random: report any weird or consistent symptoms to doctor sooner rather than later, wear comfortable and supportive shoes to avoid inducing unnecessary pain or inflammation, avoid sick people or wear a mask in public places when not eating.

Avoid sun, avoid overexertion, rest often, only short burst of activity or extended slow and easy-going activity, remember to drink water... That's all I've got 😰

Marijuana is the only thing that helps me when I start to feel one come on!
