Ibuprofen causing constipation and gas?

I have been taking ibuprofen for a year for my occipital temporal neuropathy (headaches) and have had extreme gas and farting and constant constipation. I tended to be more likely to have diarrhea for the last thirty years. I do have irritable bowel syndrome but have not had constipation for a long time until I started ibuprofen. Had anyone else had this problem and did you find a substitute for ibuprofen. Can’t take Tylenol anymore due to liver damage
