I just had an altercation with a bipolar friend of mine. She asked for my advice, then argued against it. I snapped on her. She sent me a paragraph and I’m scared to read it. I feel like i screwed up really bad. It’s hard to judge tho bc she’s also unmedicated. But maybe i shouldn’t have snapped? Idk. But i definitely just lost a friend.

Definitely take a moment to yourself to read it. As dramatic as it sounds, you're in fight or flight mode rn. Let yourself get calm before reading what could potentially be very stressful. Also keep in mind, your friend is unmedicated. It's a possible reason for her behavior but that's still not an excuse. There's a difference.

@PrincessCookie yes I’m trying to calm down rn, i don’t wanna spiral into psychosis

@DitsyDiabetic Good! Something I like to do to calm down is breathe slowly. In and out through my nostrils. On each exhale/inhale I focus on the air passing in and out through my nostrils. If my thoughts drift, I just gently redirect my attention.
