I feel like I’ve been misdiagnosed. How would you go about telling a professional that they might be wrong?! My sister was misdiagnosed before and in doing my own research, a majority of my symptoms match up with a completely different diagnosis. I’m watching a documentary right now that mentioned this woman had bipolar disorder instead of depression. Have any of you ever been misdiagnosed and how long did it take you to find out or for a psychologist to correct their findings?

Maybe try saying that you feel that you might have bipolar disorder. And ask if they could either diagnose you and treat you and if they don't maybe it's time to find a new doctor
