Maladaptive Daydreaming: Coping Mechanism or Mental Illness?

There is suggested criteria but as far as i know, no. Talked to my doctor about it and she said she cant do anything because its not recognized by doctors

In my experience, it's one of those diagnoses that don't get "officially" diagnosed, but as you see here many people are coping with it so you're not alone in this.
