Does anyone else have a service dog? I just got one recently and I wanna hear others stories about their experience and how their life changed.

I’ve had my mobility service dog for 5+ years and I’m working on get my second for mobility, hearing, and ptsd/ocd/anxiety support (the latter of which I’m needing more and more) I actually found my current dog’s trainer when I was looking up pictures of puppies to try to calm myself down during a prolonged panic attack and started looking up trainers (organizing/planning calms me). I honestly don’t know where I would be if I didn’t have her. She gets confused when I have panic attacks but it’s still so much better than nobody there and she helps my main physical health conditions a lot so that I don’t put too much stress on my body and make myself sick. I think the best I can describe it is that it feels like for me is that before I had my service dog it felt like my world was crashing and I had no one, now the world is crashing in slow motion and someone is holding my hand and walking me through it.

My mom had one from 15 years and I'm working on my process now..I dont have any personal experience of the dog being my own...but I definitely have stories funny happy and sad from when my mom had her dog. 💛

I’m trying to get my dog to the canine good citizen part so that I can have him as my service dog. The problem is he reacts to other dogs and people when he’s on leash so I need him to stop reacting and just ignore them.
I'm currently training my mom's dog to be my service dog (while I wait from my prospect to be born) and even though she's still in training Ive had a huge boost of confidence while out in public. Having to focus on her instead of wondering when someone might do something has help immensely!
