Question: I’m not sure what is causing these issues, but I have terrible neck pain daily. I assume my arthritic pain is in more than one place, but they diagnosed in lumbar region. My question is… Do any of you have issues with crepitus in your neck and the feeling of continuing knot like lumps? I’m wondering if my unexplained autoimmune issue is causing problems as well!

I’ve also had some trauma to my neck, so I’m sure I’m just a mess!

Yes! Lumbar back arthritis and pain is biggest issue but if I don’t keep it under control my neck get locked up and get big calcium deposits on my neck and then everything starts to go downhill. Realized few years ago if I don’t get regular massages and stay somewhat active everything will start locking up and it’s much harder to function and correct once it gets to that point. With arthritis, a lot of ppl are more sensitive to oxalates found in plant foods. If the body doesn’t bind them out with calcium they can deposit around your body (calcium deposits) and make pain worse. Easiest sign is if that could be it is to self massage near joints and it feels crunchy and a lot of knots or feels like scar tissue, that’s probably an issue for you and try to stay away from high oxalate foods and if you do have them, make sure you get calcium in with it to bind it out. I forgot all of this recently and ended up with excruciating pain flare and now I’ve got “crunchies” all over and can barely move my neck again. Google high oxalate foods and check to see if you’re consuming a lot of them and that may be an easy way to start making some changes and see if you notice a difference.

I’m no doc but lots of people have spinal subluxation which can correlate with arthritis in back. Just means vertebrae pinching nerves. You should look up stretches for it on YouTube. Hope this helps! I learned this from my chiropractic rehabilitation center I went to.
