Can a Pituitary Adenoma Disappear?

Hi, I was diagnosed with a benign pituitary adenoma in 2021 after an MRI scan. This year on the anniversary of the diagnosis I had a second MRI and this MRI did not show the pituitary adenoma. Has this ever happened? Can a tumor simply disappear?

        @TaniaOrro migraine with aura, loss of balance, vertigo, severe pms. All of my blood work was normal

      Mine shows some years and some not. I’ve had scans every year since 2009. Lately been showing at nearly same size d previously.

          @Lovemia different technicians might not follow same protocols. I’ve been on cabergoline to treat since originally diagnosed

      Did you use the same MRI machine each time? Because there are different strengths! 1.5T and 3.0T machines. The 3T is stronger and picks up smaller tumors like mine.

        @mymomistoocool no, they used a different machine. The machine used the second time is a new machine. Suppose to be better

      Reading about your experiences gives me hope. I was diagnosed with pituitary microadenoma this year and I hope mine to disappear as well!

      Omg that’s so weird because the exact same thing just happens to me! Found the adenoma in 2018 but my MRI last week showed nothing. Confused happy dance?😝

      I was diagnosed around the same time I’m getting another mri around December if is a cyst it could probably disappear.
