Does the endoscopy hurt to diagnose GERD? I have anxiety with medical related things so it’s been worrying me.

I could not feel mine at all. I had anesthesia for it. I did have a little sore throat afterwards and the next day, but it cleared up quickly.

Same! The anesthesia did all the work. I had bad anxiety too. Breath and try your best to relax when going into the room. You'll taste metal before going under and wake up in no time.

They did my colonoscopy and endoscopy at the same time and they put me in a twilight (sleep like state) for it so I basically took a nap. I went in fell asleep and woke up and it was over, felt nothing

No. When I had mine I couldn’t even tell they did it. I was asleep the entire time.

It doesn’t hurt! The worst would be a bit of a sore throat.

It’s very safe. You won’t feel a thing. I also had a colonoscopy as well.

Not all all! Depending on the season the sore throat is more from just being dry. They always offer you a drink after so make sure to have some water and you should be fine!
