Dealing with a Loved One's Cancer Diagnosis

I'm sorry to hear that I too have lung cancer you can't give up because nowadays they can do so much I know the lung surgery is tough so she's going to need you and it's going to take some time for her to heal but she will recover God bless you sweetheart

sending love and support your way. my grandma (also raised me so i definitely understand) has COPD and lung disease. she recently got told she has kidney cancer and im just a mess over it. its so hard to process because you dont really know what will happen or how long you have. its so so hard. im holding on to the knowledge that a person could have cancer and it never actually get bad enough to kill them. im just hoping and praying shes gonna outlive the cancer. we both avoid the topic of her passing aeay but i mentioned to her passively that i cry over the situation a lot and later on she told me she cries over it too. i hope your nannys body will be strong for her during the surgery and that she will recover steadily. definitely try and take some time to specifically let yourself feel your emotions about it and express those emotions, but also meet yourself and your expression with love afterwards because youre going through a lot too and you shouldn’t beat yourself up for processing and grieving. again, sending /so much/ love and support in such a hard fucking time <3
