Honestly what's helped me is exercise and talking to people

I agree and try to think positive thoughts and keep a journal

What helps me is when the depressive thoughts come around think positive thoughts and create a journal. I have one for my anxiety attacks. It helps identify your triggers
It sounds cliche, but I've been trying everything lately to deal with depression and anxiety and the one thing that's helped the most, aside from meds, is exercise. I'm extremely out of shape and even on heart meds now and I never leave the house so I decided to try the age old advice of getting exercise. I started playing pokemon go last year again and I do the 15 min daily incense when I can and I also have an exercise bike I do an hour of "cardio" to try to beat my heart into shape (130bpm max which fitbit says it's still fat burning range) it's helped a ton for my mood and I was just talking to a friend today about how it can help depression and general mood stability. I'm not one of those health nuts. Trust me. But just try 15 min of walking a day and see how it improves your mood before diving in so you can see for yourself.
Baby steps and small challenges. The sense of achievement over time will lift your mood gradually. Set yourself honestly achievable targets, it can be as simple as going for a short walk, it doesn't even need to cost anything. The major thing for me when I am really low is to break time into manageable portions. I make positive plans that involve other people so I can't back out, and focus on getting through just until I meet a friend for coffee, just until getting to an exercise class, etc, each plan a few days apart so it isn't a horrendous length of time.

Hugs. As in I am sending them, and they help. Way more than you know. π€π€π€π. Also know that while you are feeling down now, *this, too, shall pass*. If you put that out in the universe, chances are better that it will be true. While your emotions are valid, they are not all of your beautiful personality, and the rest needs room to shine through. I say all of this as someone who is chronically depressed and on regular meds for it. Surprised my doctor with my personality at my second follow up visit after starting said meds.
Always try to talk to someone that can help you when your feeling sad π

That sounds cool, yeah she was my best friend ... my first dog, I was 16 when I got her I'm 26 now. She was a rescue, it broke me but she was sneezing blood and there was nothing else I could do.
Honestly maybe an anti depressant or anti anxiety meds. If it's so bad that no coping tactics are working. But if it isn't that bad, try to get a pet, even a fish. Or distracting yourself by watching shows or movies on your watch list. Friends do help but it's hard to just make friends or find some.
@shoe I'm on anti depressants because I recently lost my one dog π₯ However I have w chihuahua, 2 hamsters, tropical fish and a cockatiel π€ so my days pretty packed as it is....I'm missing my other dog so much though. I lost her in August 2022 due to being riddled with cancer π₯
@BumbleBee336 OH my gosh I'm so sorry for your loss! That's awsome that you have that many pets to keep you distracted. Man Cancer sucks butt big time! I do feel you for losing a pet though, it's rough! For you if you have the time I'd definitely like do yoga classes, palettes (or howevrr yoy spell it) class, book club, doing volunteer work. And if you don't have that time. Buy I video game, minecraft has a lot of servers and fun games to play on and make friends!
