My doctor keeps telling all of my medical issues are because of my weight. (I am an average weight in accordance to my height and age) They want me to lose alot of weight. (I already struggle with an eating disorder) I don't really know what to do. any ideas or advice?

New doc! You deserve to be heard. Eating disorders are super dangerous too you gotta have your doc be on your team.

Leave. Get out. Run for the hills. That's NOT someone who has your best interest at heart and they're not giving you medically sound advice. Cancel every future appointment with them and ghost them. Explain this situation to every new doctor you see afterwards, because their reaction will be a good indicator of how they'll treat you

I don't mean to be so blunt, but find a new doctor. They clearly have a bias to heavier people and can't accept that bc you're not a size 0 you can't be helped. You deserve better š
