Im not sure if this is a bit of a downer post, but my friends keep pushing food on me- for example i went over to one of my friends flats today and she had snacks for me specifically? And my friend group keeps insisting i eat with them? i dont think im relapsing, but the way theyre pushing food on me when i havent even told them about my eating disorder is making me anxious. Im not sure if im overeacting, but why do you guys think they keep pushing food on me?

If they don't see you eat, this may be why they are pushing food into you. If they don't understand your eating choices, but just reflect on themselves thinking "it's comfort for me, so it can be of comfort for you". Try talking with them, be vulnerable and help them understand your position.

It's possible that your friends are simply trying to be hospitable and inclusive by offering food and inviting you to eat with them. They may not be aware of your eating disorder or the anxiety it causes you. It's important to communicate your feelings with them and let them know how their actions are affecting you.
