Can I still have kids while I genital herpes? or would I need to have a c-section?

Don’t worry. As long as doc is aware you will be fine

no need to worry hun you are definitely able to give birth vaginally as long as your not having a active outbreak they usually would put you on antivirals around the 3rd trimester a couple weeks before the baby arrives to help keep it suppressed but of you have a current ob they would have to perform a C-section I gave birth vaginally to both my sons and they are both healthy and well I hope my advice helps ❤️

Yes you can but if you have really bad break outs they would do a C-section to keep the baby safe

That’s a really good question! Apparently there’s a super low risk for babies to contract it during birth because of the Vernix(the white film covering baby when they pop out). If you have a flare up right before labor they do recommend C-Section. So avoid stress and triggers in your third trimester and you should be good to go! :)
