i havent befriended anyone of the same sex in years and im so jealous of others ability to talk to people. like how tf do you wake up and know how to be yourself and know what to talk about with others? my abandonment issues are showingggg. im so desperate to talk to people ill even talk to people i dislike, i can only be comfortable around people older than me or faminly. even if i like someone ill feel sick arnd them

          @JessyP it doesn't interest me, either way, im pretty sure i have maladaptive daydreaming disorder so i daydream about conversations and scenarios alot, it doesn't help me talk. i just act like an alien around others. and because of that ive wasted the "best years of my life"

      I completely relate. Often I don’t even feel comfortable around family. I just got out of a psych unit for SI and it’s been even harder talking to people since I never thought I’d have to deal with that all again. I’d be happy to practice talking with you. Unfortunately the only girl I befriended in college turned out to know my ex was hardcore cheating and didn’t tell me…. So that friendship is over.

      I started online. Talking to people on the internet, as I saw more people liked me and thought I was kewl and crap I slowly started irl. It's way harder in real life ofc. But this was just a step in a way
