My mom used to loose her temper a lot or lay in bed all day. As a kid on the other side of that story I can say a genuine apology, a conversation about depression thats age appropriate to explain jts not their fault, and even the smallest attempts to meaningfully connect thst are low energy like popcorn and a movie can really go a long way.
