anti histamines & low dose naltrexone work pretty well for me in terms of lessening pain flare ups & reducing the pain in them. I take xyzal (5mg) for my antihistamines & was told by my pain management dr (she specializes in EDS & has it herself! she saw i was hypermobile within the first min of meeting me it was incredible) that histamines aren't good for ppl with EDS, so if you aren't able to get on a med for it/they give u negative side effects, it might be easier to just try to eat less histamines instead; you can look up which foods are high in them :) hope this helps & you can find something that works for u!

my rheumatologist prescribed low dose naltrexone for it! he’s pretty well known in my state for EDS and really good at it! i think it helps? 🤍

Some things that have helped me are prescription ibuprofen, arthritis cream, kinesiology tape, and lidocaine rollers. I’d talk with your PCP/Psychiatrist about prescription pain meds before trying any.

Nothing my pain management doctor has prescribed worked much yet. Had to recently stop my two pain meds because they were worsening a different condition. I have noticed since being off them that my pain has gotten worse so they were helping more than I realised. I was on Lyrica and Meloxicam.
