I have like 4-9 migraine days a month. I use ibuprofen and Tylenol alternating those days. Does anybody else do this? Like ibuprofen Tylenol every 4-6 hours? I just feel like I take so much and I know there are alternatives but I’m just wondering if anyone else has similar migraine patterns and medicates similarly?

Honestly the best medicine for my migraines is THC. Edibles do it better than smoking, but at times smoking provides instant relief

The strong Excedrine is great for me like 50% of the time. Works best when I eat something and drink a lot of water with it. I think the caffeine helps a lot! So sometimes I’ll have caffeine instead or also. My aunt gave me these caffeine mints so I don’t have to worry about the sugar or having too much energy when all I really want to do is lay in bed in dark silence. I’ll drink tea and sometimes try to meditate or pace breathing

Hi, I use these patches from Amazon called Oh Migraine from Trio. They work very good along with my ajovy injections and Botox

I was having about 25 migraines a month. I was on a shot for them, then the Dr put me on qulipta, I have been on it for a little over a month. And they are down to about 10 a month now

Botox migraine treatment is only covered by insurance if you have 15 or more headaches per month; it usually doesn't start actually working until the 3rd or 4th dose though. It basically numbs or "freezes" the pain receptors temporarily is how my neuro Dr explained it to me

I use Cove (virtual doctor) for my migraine management right now with pretty good success. I never tried botox for migraines. Do you have anymore info kii?

Massage on the back of the neck to try, warm rice packs, caffeine in liquid or pill form. I was taking a lot of Tylenol at a time too but I believe it elevated my liver levels and I actually had to reschedule a surgery because of it

Oh! I’ve heard of the rebound migraines. That’s good advice and I’ll talk to my doctor about alternatives. Sometimes I get desperate and am in so much pain though I give in and just take it the Advil and Tylenol. What other things seem to help you? I got a migraine cap for Christmas (it’s like a bunch of ice packs made to fit snugly on your head) and I try heat on my neck or hot showers. I am open to any other tips!

Hi! I did the same thing for a long time until my neurologist told me that taking Tylenol or ibuprofen consistently will actually cause rebound migraines! She suggested that I create a rotation where I take longer breaks between them and use alternative pain relief in the middle. Like Botox injection, CBD, or acupuncture.
