My insomnia is bad . I’m waking up every two hours . I can’t stay a sleep . I’m taking naps during the day because I’m so tired . I try not to take naps sometimes if I don’t nap I’ll stay up for 24 hours straight . I’ve tried ambien melatonin & olanzapine & mirtazapine . The meds made me way too groggy and i would sleep another 6 hours because meds made me to groggy . I’m worried about not sleeping and hallucinating 😭

I sleep two to three hours every night, if I take a nap even if it is 30 min, I’ll be up all night till next day. I been 72 hours without sleep, Lunesta side effects I hate, seraquel I sleep three days in a row, I can function plus dealing with chronic pain, migraines. It just sucks. Good luck 🍀

I take serequel, Trileptal, amitryptiline, and I sleep good but my pain still makes it difficult to stay asleep

I too seem to sleep in 1 1/2-2 hours of sleep at a time if sleeping at all. When I have to I will also nap, but I'm always worried that I'll pay a price for that at night. I take Trazadone and Amitriptyline, and have used melatonin. I have no side effects or grogginess, but would be willing to if it meant sleeping. The scariest part of my insomnia is that I have Epilepsy, which requires a lot of sleep. So anytime I'm not sleeping I worry about having a seizure. I hope you find something that works!

Have you tried seroquel or trazadone? Those can help and don't have much next day groggyness

I’m so sorry to hear that you’re struggling with sleep! I found that Lunesta gives me less of a ‘hangover’ effect compared to ambien. I also take mirtazapine without any trouble. Everyone’s body is different, but Lunesta has worked well for me for many years. I also try to go to bed and get up at the same time every day, and I wear earplugs and a sleep mass every night.? And no caffeine ever, but I know some people depend on it. Not sure if anything I said was helpful, but not getting enough quality sleep is scary… I hope you find a way to improve your sleep quality!
