I’m coming here because I guess I just don’t have anyone in my life that understands the symptoms of my PCOS. I recently started taking birth control and metformin and had my first period in 6 years. It was so heavy I had to stay home and I became so emotional I quit my job. I told my OBGYN and he gave me a lower dosage of birth control but I still feel sad, anxious, irritated, etc all the time. He explained the importance of taking it to prevent ovarian cancer but I just can’t do it anymore. I don’t know what to do and I know I can’t get advice from other doctors on here but if anyone has experienced something similar was there anything that helped you?
For me the combination of met form in and spironalactone stabilized my cycle and if it stopped (it did) my gyn put me on a 10/20 day estrogen cycle. 10 days on 20 off and it helped restart it
