Does any one else in the chronic fatigue community use pacing? I use it to help with my fibro. It’s something I’ve been doing for years without realising it, maybe due to my ASD, but I love it. What helps you rest? For me it’s video games, books, journalling (when I have the energy), and hula hooping.

I use it as best I can (sometimes hard depending on what's needed that day) since it helps prevent flares for me. I read, watch shows, nap, play video games, and if I have the energy to, garden

@Juno2191 I’d love to get into gardening- it’s just never been a special interest for me - so it’s hard to get my head to want to focus on it. But hype about fellow gamer and reader 💖 but I do agree it can be hard in the day. Eg after work, even though I enjoy it and it’s a beautiful 9-5 (I used to do shift work) I’m still heller exhausted after.

Yes, some people in the chronic fatigue community use pacing as a coping strategy. One person mentioned setting a timer to work for 10 minutes and then rest for 10 minutes at home. They also make sure to rest after work. To help with resting, they enjoy video games, books, journaling (when they have the energy), and hula hooping.
