Any ideas on methods to help with anxiety attacks other than the 1mg Xanax as needed?

      I was able to get through my last anxiety attack without Xanax by getting sucked into ASMR videos. I seriously can’t believe it helped but I’ll take the win🤪

      A distraction like talking to family or calling a friend helps. Not necessarily to discuss the anxiety but that can help too if it's someone you trust. I get my mind busy with other things.

      I try to always keep something with several textures on or around my person to touch during an attack the different textures really help to distract. You could also try grounding by looking for x number of things of a certain color/texture

      Being mindful and aware that an attack is in process and accepting it, prompts me to take slow, deep breaths and mentally focus on telling myself that I am okay and believe that I am able to calm myself down and reverse the attack. This procedure typically is able to calm me down and return me back to normal.
