I don’t typically watch much TV but when I do I love criminal minds, SVU, anything like that. Well my husband the other day opened up to me and said that he knows I like those kinds of shows but that he’s worried it kind of triggers some of my “bad and paranoid thoughts”. He said he isn’t trying to tell me not to watch them because he knows I enjoy them, but that it worries him. I didn’t know how to respond and I understand where he is coming for to an extent, I am schizoaffective, and lately my hallucinations have been well controlled but I am still struggling with paranoid thoughts. Anyone have input or maybe like the same kind of TV shows and have noticed it as a trigger?

I find watching a comedy or something before bed helps deal with some of the symptoms I have. If I watch something too serious or dark before I go to bed the paranoid thoughts and voices are much worse than if I was watching something funny
