I was on gabapentin but finally don’t take it anymore. Had treatment for the feet and now are much better but remain numb. Hands are not good and I constantly drop things. Any suggestions about what I can do to help my hands?

I used to take the Gabapentin as well. I just stopped taking it on my own, slowly. I am not a medical expert, but perhaps there might be some physio therapy for the hands once you ask your doctor about it.

Check out their website. Advanced Regenerative Health. I no longer have the terrible red ants biting my feet from the inside out. No more gabapentin. Now my problem is my hands. Problem is my health insurance allowed them to treat the feet or the hands. Can’t do both so I chose my feet.

What kind of treatment? I didn't know there was any treatment aside from basically just masking the symptoms with pain meds or things like gabapentin

I have had some relief from muscle stim (chiropractor) and compression gloves ( as seen on tv). I still drop things, and can't pick up a coin off the floor. I think I need to re learn some things, like a baby. I know which hand movements make it worse, texting, gaming, holding books while reading. I've learned not to lie down while looking at my cell phone, dropped it on my own mouth !

@Purplicious thanks for the idea of compression gloves. I use compression socks when traveling and they have helped my feet and calves in a major way. I went to a chiropractor clinic and received injections in both feet and electrical stimulation to feet and lower legs twice a week overall 12 weeks. It totally knocked out the neuropathy in feet and mostly in calves. I do take a really good supplement and use a special balm on my feet for maintenance. When I got the treatments is when I no longer needed gabapentin. Thanks for sharing.

@Brother do you mind sharing what supplements you take. I’m currently taking Alpha lipoid acid and Benfotiamine and B12. I’ve also heard Acetyl L Carnitine which s good.

I had good results from an inversion table. I think it creates a little space

@Orionson thanks for the suggestion. I would have never thought of an inversion table for the hands.

@Brother the cervical vertebrae can pinch the nerves going down arms into hands. Just reverse gravity I guess.
