Hi, my name is Jaiden. I am a 18 year old female and was recently diagnosed with stage 3 Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Does anyone else have the same diagnosis? If so, how has your journey with chemo been?

Also, chemo makes you constantly have the worst chemical taste at all times what I have learned helps is sour stuff. Just be careful to avoid acidic stuff and spicy stuff because you do not want mouth sores they hurt so bad. When you get your treatment, if you are receiving adriamyacin (red devil) definitely suck/chew/eat ice while they push it to help keep the chemo from burning your mouth and giving you mouth sores. During my treatments I was given benadryl and slept the whole time. I had brought stuff with me to keep my busy but wound up not even touching them because the benadryl will knock you out cold.
27yo stage 2b found out on my birthday. 6 rounds (12 treatments) of Abvd took about 6 months. Had a port put in, that was a bit painful. Got into remission and finished treatments. Rang the bell and continue to be monitored with labs. Scans suck. Port placement and removal suck. Chemo sucked. It's hard but worth it. I have 2 kids I had just had my second and found out I have cancer when he was 3 months old. I had to stop breastfeeding. Chemo made me super sick there were instances when I couldn't even keep my eyes open and slept for days. Nausea was bad if I didn't make sure to stay on top of the nausea meds. I was given a steroid to take the 2 days following chemo to help alleviate my symptoms. Set alarms during the night to remind you to take your nausea meds. The fatigue is rough so don't over work yourself just try to take it easy and don't even think you are lazy because, it's not the truth. Im not going to lie it sucks but keeping a positive attitude really goes a long way. Don't let cancer kill your spark ✨ 🙏 🙌 💛
