It’s been a long journey for me but I have gotten my migraines down to about one a month where I can’t function. That’s down from about 15 a month where I was out for 24-72 hours down. Diet, exercise, sleep hygiene, hydration and vitamin supplements are a huge help for me. I try to keep my life on a very consistent schedule also. For medication the combination of Botox every 3 months and Nurtec every few days has helped tremendously.

I was taking opiates, soma & Xanax for my migraines and Trigeminal neuralgia, but got off of them. I’ve been taking Nurotec ODT every other day and it helps. I still get them, just not as bad. It’s the only migraine med I’ve ever taken that’s helped instead of opiates. You should check it out. Hope this helps you!!!

They are getting so bad. This constant headache hearing my pulse and feeling it in my right side of my head and ringing in my right ear just wears me out for now my only slight relief is over counter migraine meds and a Mountain Dew

Ajovy was a helpful preventative for me as well, but discontinued after it got a bit too expensive. Right now I use Sumatriptan and Excedrin as soon as I feel a migraine coming on and that usually nips it in the bud after about a day.

My neurologist has me on a mixed cocktail of migraine medicines. I take Topomax as a daily preventative as well as Ajovy as a once monthly injectable to curb the number of migraine days I have per month. If I still get a migraine, I can take Nurtect ODT or Zomig. Hope this helps!
